Personal Styling at Burbo K'Ture

I've never had a personal stylist before, so this was a whole new experience for me. One that I plan to repeat. Paul at Burbo K'Ture is a great talent.

A few months ago, Paul added me on Facebook and after a little messaging back and forth, we agreed to collaborate if I had an event coming up. Christmas rolled around and I decided that a meal I was going to at The High Field would be perfect.

Paul invited me to his gorgeous boutique in the Jewellery Quarter. My appointment included a one-to-one consultation and styling service. We went through the rails and picked a few pieces out. There was a mix between his own original designs and some that he had sourced (including vintage) which are also stocked in the boutique.

Then obviously the fun part was trying it all on. I like to think I'm quite open-minded in what I wear, but even I was shocked by what I ended up choosing. It's one of Paul's original designs*. He has a very unique style - one which I first spotted in Disorder Boutique, a few years ago.

Paul is a great talent and it was so nice to chat with someone who has created their fashion career the unconventional way.

So, fancy being styled for your next event? I know it's definitely something I will be doing again. Nothing ruins the fun of planning like not being able to find a unique outfit.

Will Paul make a dress for me?
Yes, but I recommend booking as early as possible. There are also ready to wear pieces already in the stocked in the boutique.

What about the rest of my outfit?
Agree a budget and Paul will source shoes, accessories, hair and makeup for you. Mix and match what it is you'd like and the boutique becomes your very own dressing room. Fancy!

Can we book in as a group?
Absolutely. If yourself and some friends would like to come along to the boutique, get in touch and he will discuss that with you.

Can I just drop by the boutique and choose something for myself?
Of course you can!

Where is Burbo K'Ture based?
The boutique is based in the Jewellery Quarter - Studio 1, 81 Vyse Street.
Outfit choices can be put together via email, or fittings take place in person at the boutique. Prices are upon enquiry but consultation is free and budget is agreed beforehand, so there are no hidden costs.

I seriously don't think that I've had so many compliments on one dress. It was my absolute pleasure to point them in the direction of someone that I consider to be one Birmingham's finest independent designers.

See you in my next post!

Lots of love,
