Wednesday Wish List #2: All About Studs&Spikes

This week's Wednesday Wish List is all about studs. They are everywhere at the moment and they're certainly a trend I'm investing in. Roll on Pay Day!

I even bought my own, so that I could do a little DIY on a jumper or two. (look out for that post).

Let's get on with it, shall we? It seems to me that there are very few items of clothing that studs can't be found on lately.

Jeans

These studs are slightly different from the ones most commonly found and I think they work well on these jeans. Pair with flats for off-duty model and heels and a camisole for a great evening look.

Knitwear

I adore this jumper. I know it's simple but that's why it works so well. The studs really speak for themselves here and allow you to go wild with the rest of the outfit. How about some brightly coloured or print jeans? It's also available in Stone, but I personally think the colours strips away some of the edginess.

You may even be thinking 'I could probably do this myself. How hard can it be?'
Well, over on Little Bird Fashion, one of my favourite fashion bloggers Jen Holmes, shows you how. Check it out here.

Shorts

Glamorous Blue Della Shorts
These shorts by Glamorous have a real grunge feel to them. I'd pair them with a loose vest and tights and probably throw my leather jacket over the top.

Shoes

I adore these Topshop studded loafers. They come in several different colours and are a steal at £28. I may just get them in black, pink and white.

Accessories

If you're crazy about the idea of wearing studs on your clothes and footwear, why not throw on some studded accessories? They're guaranteed to bring an extra edge to your outfit, without you having to be too committed to the look. Here are my favourites.

Urban Outfitters Confetti Stud Pouch Bag

This gorgeous bag from Urban Outfitters is the best I've seen. It's practical and stylish. Also available in brown.

The Designer Darling

These Mulberry Sneakers are some of the most beautiful I have seen in a long time. The studding on these is quite subtle and the great neutral colour (Snowball White', if we're going to get technical) means they're super versatile. If I had £350 to blow, they would be in my wardrobe, without a moments hesitation. Simple and sophisticated. Just how we like it.

Also, check out this beautiful collection by The Ragged Priest. Available at Topshop, the collection features vintage re-worked pieces with a healthy dollop of tie-dye and studs. No matter what your style, you'll find something to change up your look.

Hope you've enjoyed!

Are any of you rocking studs and spikes lately?

Much love,

Melly xoxo
