Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Review

I was about 19 when I first encountered Urban Decay and I've loved them ever since. Their products make amazing gifts and now, their lip products are up there with my all-time favourites.

So, after my hospital appointment, to investigate the lump in my breast, my best friend presented me with an Urban Decay Vice Lipstick for being brave. It was such a kind gesture - I really wasn't expecting anything.

Anyway, I love a lipstick and this is a slightly unusual colour for me. I know a lot of people who are only faithful to one brand but I'm honestly not picky.

The most striking thing about this collection, on first impressions, aside from the colours, is definitely the packaging. I absolutely love the matte finish of this lipstick too; it's my favourite finish for lipsticks now. Jawbreaker, along with nine other shades, comes in a formula that they call 'mega matte'. It does exactly as it says but it's not drying, like some matte lipsticks can be.

The shade that Bek bought for me is Jawbreaker. It's an intense purple shade, which was a little brighter than expected but it definitely suits me. It's highly pigmented, so the coverage is great. Being darker skinned, my lips are two slightly different shades, which can be a problem, if a produt isn't very pigmented. Thankfully, my complexion doesn't struggle with many colours. Good choice, Bek.

Every lipstick in the collection is infused with nourishing ingredients - including aloe vera and jojoba amongst others.

I've only worn it for the evening so far - it's not a daytime shade for me. There are other colours in the collection that I'm definitely planning to try though.
