Adventures in Dublin

Image
At the end of March, I cleared off to Dublin with my family. Myself, my mom, two of my aunties and my cousin headed off on the Tuesday morning, from Birmingham Airport.  It's no secret that I love a mini  break. It's always nice to head off to another city for a short time. We arrived on Tuesday and left late on Friday evening.  Millennium Bridge We stayed in Staycity Apartments. They're quite basic but perfect for what we needed. We thought that we'd be sharing one but ended up splitting across two. So myself and my cousin shared one and left the grown ups in the other one.  They're really ideally located and the staff were so helpful. The tram is literally a minute walk from the apartment and there are shops and restaurants everywhere.  The first evening was pretty low key.  We strolled a little and found a Tex Mex restaurant, near to the apartment, for our second night.  Nachos for my starter  The steak was lovely. How I Stay Organised

Image
Paper or digital? How do you prefer to stay organised, day-to-day? When you have a lot of plates to spin, it's easy to get a) overwhelmed and b) forgetful. Half of the stress of managing a busy life is planning and preparation. Here's how I stay organised. Although we very much live in a digital age, I am a pen and paper girl at heart. I just love to write things down. For day-to-day planning and writing down dates, I use my Bright Side diary. It's created by Rachel Bright and she is an absolute genius. It's not just a little book filled with dates, the copy all the way through is very funny and each month, there is a page of inspiration and a mantra to think about. Can't wait for my 2016 diary Alongside that, I use a little notebook to write to-do lists. I split each one down into categories. So, I typically make a blog to-do list, a client to-do and then any other random things like 'popping to the bank', or whatever. The team over at Nu

Five Happy Things #3

Image
It's time for part three of my Five Happy Things series. What's made you happy lately? 1) A lovely brunch date Can all Mondays kick off with a brunch date please? Last week, I met up with my wonderful friend Jacqui. No matter what stage you are at in your life, you should have people around you who inspire and encourage you. Jacqui is one of those people. She manages a career as a doctor, a family and a busy social life. When I grow up, I want to be like her. We chatted and caught up and shared what was going on in our lives. A fab couple of hours. The Plough in Harborne is one of my favourite brunch spots. The atmosphere is great. I cannot wait to see  how the place looks, once their expansion work is finished. This Eggs Benedict was so good 2) Work I went full time freelance with Honey Bee Copywriting one year ago and I'm so thankful for the place I'm in right now. There are still some goals that I am working towards but I've had the privilege to w
